I think my fellow Eternium players understand best what I'm looking for.īattleheart, Orbit, Kingdom Rush, Plants vs. I took my strongest warrior and dropped her into the gauntlet at normal difficulty, put my phone down and voila, all done about 90 minutes later. I stuck to salvaging until I had bought most of the recipes and also had a good gold grinding set, so I had more gold than I needed so could happily spend it on. Convert essences from Lesser to Greater since those are the only ones you need for legendary items. You can unlock everything at a small fraction of the gem cost. Wait for a new beginning event to fully unlock a character. Or, if they're singleplayer, hit an artificial spike in difficulty that will make the game pointless and frustrating unless you start paying. So the season XP achievements, outside of the crafting can all be automatically finished in about an hour and a half. Focus on salvaging but create the materials you need, like Nightcloth and Mithril. Save all your large chests to open when you hit 70. In most other games "free to play" simply means you either pay - a lot -or are cannon fodder for the money-players. So maybe you can recommend games that are free to play, but allow to play, have fun and succeed without paying microtransactions or excessive grinding.Įternium really hits a nice balance there, the devs seem to be able to make a living from it, but even players like me that purposely have no payment methods on google/android can reach the top 1% of the leaderboards with a moderate investment of time. I really like Eternium, but want to install a few other games, because outside of ANBs I'm not playing it enough to cover long train rides.
